Phuket has some of the best and most exclusive golf courses in Thailand that are all made for its visitors to take advantage of the island’s tropical climate and beautiful weather all year round. Having a reputation as a luxury destination, Phuket stands up for what it’s known for – luxury hotels and resorts, private luxury villas, luxury yachts, and top of the class golf courses. These top golf courses listed below boast high-quality standards and enough challenges to stretch scratch players.

Blue Canyon Country Club

The Blue Canyon Country Club is a championship category, recognized as being the best in Asia and with awards to prove it. Nestled in a natural atmosphere, the course has enough space for expansion if the long-hitting continues to trend. At 10 holes, the water comes into play; it features more than 80 bunkers. When it comes to the lakes they have been aptly named with larger greens. Water is brought to play at the 17 holes and features 36 bunkers. The two courses share a clubhouse that boasts exclusive amenities that overlooks the beautiful verdant valley. View Location

Red Mountain Golf Club

Launched in 2007 in Phuket’s Kathu district, Red Mountain Golf Club rests on what was previously a tin mine just next to its sister golf course which is known as Loch Palm Golf Club, that has turned out to be one of the popular golf courses in Phuket. Red mountain derived its name from the mesa design, due to its landscape appearance, composed of red soil, granites, hills and green environment. View Location

Laguna Phuket Golf Club

Previously known as the Banyan Tree Golf Club, it has had a makeover and its name was also changed. All the greens have been reconstructed and remodeled, the previously once-flat fairways now feature strategic hazards and more trees have been planted to complement the appearance of the woodland. This makeover has seen the course featured in surveys as being among the 10 best courses in Thailand. View Location

Loch Palm Golf Club

Loch Palm greens are taken care of at playable speeds which are not so fast, thus luring golfers to return. Furthermore, there are a number of testing carries over water and close encounters with jungles that canto be penetrated. Nestled nicely on a cordon of hills, the take-off of most shots can easily be traced across the air over the background of the forest.

Mission Hills Golf Club

Mission Hills Golf course might be near the sea but cannot be referred to as a links course. It does not resemble other courses on the island but definitely showcases Phuket’s character very clearly. Nicklaus style has incorporated very distinguishing quirks, similar to greens that give two similar finishes on whole 18. The isle grass of the Paspalum Sea adds amazing colors as it thrives beautifully on the salty soil. View Location

Phuket Country Club Golf

This 18-hole course is nestled in a valley, through the forest, beautiful hills and the flat country. The water comes to play in the seven holes and features 54 bunkers. On the other hand, the course with nine holes is an amazing test for golfers of all levels. Only one hole does not have water in play and boasts 27 bunkers. View Location

Thai Muang Beach Golf & Marina

The setting of tall mounds and long bunkers that compete with the nearby beach stretch can be a cause of concern not forgetting the strong sea breezes and intense rough. The greens are at other times small and not easy to hit, and the turf on placing surfaces and fairways needs a different approach. Most of the mounds feature their own bunkers. The course membership is not large and has around 100 caddies.
