The latest edition of DestinAsian Magazine, a leading travel publication in Asia, unveiled the 2024 version of its Readers’ Choice Awards in the March-May edition, marking its 17th year of compiling a list of award winners in the luxury travel industry in the Asia-Pacific region. The Readers’ Choice Poll was conducted between August and November 2023, with readers choosing winners from a shortlist nominated by the magazine’s editors across 36 categories, which encompass hotels and resorts, serviced residences, airlines, airports, cruise lines, and destinations.
DestinAsian publisher Ronald Liem expressed pride in the evolving scope of the awards, stating, “This edition of the RCA is bigger than ever in its scope, and we’re honored to provide travelers with a platform to reflect on and share their experiences around Asia Pacific.” He also added, “As the poll continues to evolve and grow in step with the times, we’ve made some adjustments to better reflect the astounding diversity of the luxury hospitality scene in our home region.”
Also in this latest edition, DestinAsian expanded the award program to include selected countries like Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam, with two separate rankings now encompassing city hotels and resorts. The addition of categories such as Boutique Hotels further highlights the diversity of the luxury hospitality scene in the region.
