UAE’s leading airline, Emirates, and the Tourism Authority of Thailand signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 13th June 2016 in Bangkok, Thailand. The main aim of the agreement is to use the airline’s excellent worldwide network to increase the inbound arrivals of tourists to Thailand. The MoU focuses on growing the major tourism markets such as Luxury Tourism. Under the agreement, the tourism authority and the airline will create a variety of joint promotions that will focus on increasing Thailand’s visibility and tourism. These shared developments will benefit may tourism sectors that include; Honeymoons and Weddings, Sports Tourism, Green Tourism, and Luxury Tourism. The MoU also states that a new route between Dubai and Thailand’s major luxury destinations may be launched.
