1. Lad Koh Viewpoint
Lad Koh Viewpoint is one of the best places in Koh Samui where one can see spectacular panoramic views of the ocean. Located between Lamai and Chaweng Beach on Route 4169, visitors can walk along the paved path to the rocky, rugged coastline and see the almost glowing blue water touch the clear blue skies above Chaweng Bay. 2. Wat Phra Yai Temple
Located near Koh Samui International Airport, the gigantic golden Buddha statue in this temple stands so tall that passengers in the airplanes can actually see it from that distance. As if the temple and the grandness of the commanding statue were not awe-inspiring enough, visitors have stunning views of the sandy beaches reaching up to the point of the nearby island of Koh Pha Ngan.
3. Khao Hua Jook Pagoda
This temple is located atop the holy Chom Dao Mountain. Hiking up the hills and the steps to the temple, the views at the top are totally worth all the effort. 6. Ang Thong National Park
The islands of Ang Thong National Park are home to two incredible viewpoints. On Koh Mae Ko sits a viewpoint overlooking the Emerald Lake, so-called for its beautiful blue-green hue. This viewpoint is accessible through stairs and offers breathtaking views from different angles. The Pha Jun Jaras viewpoint on Ko Wua Ta Lap, on the other hand, can be a challenging climb, but it provides equally amazing views of Ang Thong’s islands from its peak.
