Chalet Yuzen

Set within the quiet surroundings of St. Moritz in Kabayama, Yūzen is a six-bedroom chalet thoughtfully designed for slow mornings, shared meals, and time spent together in Niseko’s changing seasons. Inspired by the idea of calmness and ease, the chalet combines warm timber finishes, soft architectural lines, and generous living spaces that feel refined yet deeply welcoming. 

The entire top floor is dedicated to gathering, with an open-plan living, dining, kitchen, and media area centered around a custom Japanese camphor wood table and a gas fireplace. Large sliding doors open onto a covered terrace, equally suited for summer barbecues or quiet winter evenings with snow settling through the birch trees beyond. 

Among Yūzen’s most distinctive features is its serene tatami room with a traditional horigotatsu sunken table, offering a more intimate space for tea, conversation, or card games after a day outdoors. The chalet also features a spacious onsen-style bath overlooking the tranquil forest, designed for long, restorative soaks shared with family or friends. 

Just a short drive from Hirafu Village yet peacefully removed from its bustle, Yūzen is a place where larger families and groups of friends can come together, reconnect, and experience Niseko at a slower, more personal pace.
