Nestled in Niseko-Hirafu’s Lower Village, Chalet Kazane, meaning “sound of the wind,” is a striking mountain retreat defined by its unique crescent roofline that arcs gracefully in two directions. A cedar facade, stone finishings, and exposed timber structure create an inviting alpine sanctuary, while its position near a gentle creek inspired the chalet’s evocative name.

Spanning three floors, Chalet Kazane comfortably accommodates up to 14 guests across five Western bedrooms and one traditional Japanese tatami room. Four ensuites and a shared bathroom ensure privacy, while the cedar-scented Japanese spa bath offers the perfect way to soothe tired muscles after a day on the slopes. Additional amenities include a media room, dry room with laundry, WC, and single-car garage.

The top floor showcases sweeping views of Mt. Yotei, where the open-plan living, dining, and kitchen area sits beneath a soaring curved ceiling. A wood-burning fireplace adds warmth and ambience, while the custom Leicht kitchen from Germany caters to culinary enthusiasts with an IH cooktop, full-size AEG oven, Miele steam cooker, fish grill, and wine cellar. A bespoke metal and timber dining table by local artist RAM anchors the space, complemented by detailed joinery throughout the tatami room, playful pops of colour on custom wardrobes, and premium Agape fixtures.
